Active Rosters (REGISTERED PLAYERS):
To be eligible to participate as an eligible player with a YPSL team in any league game, all players MUST be officially rostered with their club team and their state organization. Rosteres MUST be uploaded and an official YPSL TEAM ROSTER must be presented to the game referee prior to each game. Plsyers are eligible players if they appear on the clubs “Active Roster” for the league season.
• The YPSL will NOT allow travel/competitive league players to participate. Players must be registered through their state soccer organization or US Club Soccer and cannot be affiliated with a travel/competitive team through their state organization or US Club Soccer.
• As stewards of the game the YPSL and member clubs must maintain the integrity of our grassroots league
Player Participation:
Players may participate in any competition under the jurisdiction of the YPSL provided they are duly registered with the YPSL and therefore with their state organization/US CLUB Soccer and in accordance with the regulations contained herein. NOTE: All team players participating in the YPSL MUST have proper uniforms with numbers clearly seen from the sidelines. The numbers must be either sublimated, screened or heat transferred onto the jersey and correspond with numbers/players on the active roster. NO exceptions.
Pre-Game Check-in:
To participate in a YPSL game, a duly registered player must be listed on the Official Team (Game Day) Roster prior to the game and be checked into the game by the officials prior to the start of the game. ONLY players on the Official Team Roster will be allowed to play. NO exceptions. Referee will be instructed to check player official roster.
The YPSL player registration process will be strictly monitored and enforced by game officials, the YPSL, State Organizations and/or US Club Soccer.
Ineligible Players:
An ineligible player is a player that:
1) not properly registered with the YPSL via the uploading of an official roster and does not appear on the Team’s Active Roster (a player suspended by the YPSL that appears in a game is classified as an ineligible player)
2) a player that is dual-carded with a clubs YPSL team and a local travel/competitive team. A team using an ineligible player shall forfeit 5-0 all games the ineligible player(s) plays in and will be deducted three (3) standing points per ineligible player per game. Intentional abuse can result in suspension and/or expulsion of team membership (no refund) by the YPSL.
Players Arriving Late to League Game:
It is the responsibility of the Team Head Coach or Team Administrator to ensure that ANY/ALL players arriving late (after check-in has occurred) are announced to the referee prior to the late arriving player entering the field. Team staff must have his/her active roster ready for officials’ review.
