YPSL-DMV Prepares For Fall 2023 Season!

After the initial pilot season of spring 2023, the YPSL will play its 1st full season this coming fall of 2023.

The league now has eight strong clubs that will be ready to compete at the 2015/16, 2013/14 and 2010/11 age groups. The league has welcomed those designated as “legacy” clubs that have a regional history of high-level developmental programs and a few that are slowly building their youth sectors.

Andy Vera, Director of League Operations said this, “The clubs we admitted either have a rich history of strong developmental programs or are growing their grassroots from scratch…both groups contribute and add a good mix to the league going into the fall season.”

Grove United will be once again included in the DMV for league play as the YPSL continues to work with the clubs’ leadership in creating a YPSL-Richmond affiliate in future seasons. Their Future Stars Program is developing strong players at the 2015 age group. Motorik FC and DC Reign are newcomers to youth programming and are building teams at the under-9 through the under-12 age groups. Both clubs will eventually be part of either the Colonial or Metro Conferences in the YPSL-DMV.

Frederick Skyline-Club De Futbol is our 1st Maryland club to join the league and is based out of Walkersville in Frederick County.

Our legacy clubs include; ODFC (South Riding, Aldie, Chantilly and Round Hill), PSA (Ashburn), Clarke County Soccer League-CCSL and Sterling Soccer Club.

Games for all our teams are tentatively scheduled to begin September 9th, 2023!
