Youth Premier Soccer League (YPSL) is an affiliate of the Women’s Premier Soccer League (WPSL), recognized    as the largest amateur women’s league globally. The YPSL    has partnered with the WPSL to establish a comprehensive    boys’ and girls’ grassroots and competitive league, collaborating with member clubs to support the development of young athletes (ages U8-U18). Both organizations emphasize that a thoughtfully structured competitive environment promotes the educational and athletic growth of grassroots players.

The WPSL delivers world-class operational support to the YPSL, including club-member services, team registration assistance, and league game scheduling. Additionally, the YPSL employs a local Director of League Operations who offers direct guidance to regional teams through the League Commissioner, Division Coordinators and Conference Delegates.

In partnership with the WPSL, the YPSL is launching new Grassroots Leagues and the YPSL+ League 1 program nationwide, expanding grassroots soccer initiatives where they are most needed.

Entering its 5th season, the YPSL has established one region and two divisions within that region: the Mid-Atlantic Region encompasses both “northern” and “southern” divisions. A third “eastern” division is currently forming and is projected to be fully operational by spring 2026. This Mid-Atlantic Region covers Maryland, Washington D.C., Virginia, and Eastern West Virginia. The region/division model is designed to facilitate convenient scheduling of matches within practical travel distances for families.

League games are scheduled exclusively on Saturdays; however, the YPSL permits conference teams to arrange Sunday, or weekday matches if convenient to member team families.  

All Teams MUST register with the YPSL before participating in ANY official league game and are required to provide properly vetted game day rosters. The league mandates proof of identity and confirmation of date of birth for each rostered participant according to its Fair Play policy.
